Terms of use
Last updated: 2 November 2026 (draft)
What these cover
These are the ground rules for using Flowbient, made by Way of the Pigeon Ltd [registered number and address to be added] ("we"). By using it you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
What you are getting
Flowbient is a free app with scenes, sounds, generated music and a timer, for the web, and in time for Windows and phones. Everything in it is currently open. We intend to add a paid tier called Pro later. It is not on sale, and these terms will be extended, and you will be told, before anything is sold. Nothing you do now commits you to paying for anything.
Using it fairly
- Use it for yourself or for a lawful stream or site of your own. Do not try to break it, overload it or take it apart to attack others.
- If you put the player or the stream page on your own site or channel, you are responsible for that site or channel and for following the rules of any platform you use it on.
- The stream page is calm by design and cannot be made to play alerts. Please do not present it as something it is not.
Your data
What you make in the app is saved on your device and is yours. We do not hold it, so we cannot restore it if you lose it. Keep a backup using the export in Settings. How information is handled is in the privacy notice.
Our work
The app, its code, painted scenes, generated sounds and music, and the name Flowbient belong to us or are used with permission [owner to confirm, including the position on the Flowbient name]. You may use the app and what it plays freely, including in your own streams and videos. You may not copy and sell the app itself or pass it off as yours. Third-party software it is built on stays under its own licences [list or link to be added].
No guarantees
We have tried to make it dependable, but it is provided "as it is", and may have faults, change, or be withdrawn. Sounds can be loud: set a low volume first, and do not rely on it for anything where a failure could hurt someone. The timer, sleep timer and reminders are conveniences, not safety devices. The Focus Shield and similar features are aids to concentration that you choose to use; they are not a way to keep anyone from their device, and no one should use them to lock someone else out.
Nothing here limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our breach, or for lost data you had not backed up. [Solicitor to review this paragraph in particular.]
Changes
We may change these terms as the app changes, and will change the date above. Using the app after a change means you accept it. If the change is significant, for example when payments arrive, we will say so in the app first.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of [England and Wales: owner and solicitor to confirm], and its courts [confirm]. If you are a consumer, you also keep any rights you have where you live.
